The soul of a man is a subject of much speculation and
debate. I, for one, am a strong believer that soul exists. This belief is
utterly and entirely fueled by my love of the paranormal.
Now, a man’s soul could be the amalgamation of the
complete experiences which he gathered over a lifetime-however long or short.
One may, in other words, define it as a projection of his memories. Upon death,
are these memories simply wiped away or do they remain on earth or elsewhere as
souls of the deceased? It is an answer that has sparked off many debates-from
the hallowed Halls of the academic edifices to my own bedroom. Its existence
remains doubtful.
For arguments sake, however, I wish to believe they do
exist as otherwise the entire lifetime of all the human lives created and lost
over the ages seems rather-useless.
The memories, as one often tends to argue, are preserved
by their family, their kin and progressively across the various layers of family
and society to which that person belonged to.
And thus, they say, is the soul preserved. Cold logic demands, then,
that in the scenario of a man being completely isolated from any human
contact, from birth to death, will leave no memories and hence be rendered
soul-less.
An interesting thought, I said to myself, and hence I
blog.
